Donovan's Hub Motor Tool
This is the Dovovan bikes hub motor tool.
The Hub motor tool is a tool designed for the effective dissasembely of hub motors made by Aikema. Models such as the 100SX and 85SX
The dissasembely allows you to do the following:
- Replace bearings.
- Regrease internal gears.
- Rewire the motor cable.
The Body of the tool is intended to be used with a 1/2 "breaker bar or similar. However the end of a bikes seat post can be used. (Internal size must be 25mm+) The slot in the tool body allows for the point screw to be adjusted for your hub motor.
Made from steel, custom parts and UK made. This tool is the only one for brining your hub motor back to life.

How to use.
How to disasemble the AKM hub motor.
- Mount the motor wheel into a vice with the cable pointing down.
- Undo the three screws with a PH2 bit.
- Take the assembled tool and loosen srews.
- Loosen screws unti the body sits flat on the lip and the chanferd nut clears the lip.
- Tighten the locking nuts and place the protective rupper strip over the hub axle put the tool back into place.
- Use the original serrated nut to secure the tool onto the motor hub.
- With the tool in place, put the breaker bar into the square hole or place post over the tools step. Secure this under your arm.
- Carefully turn the wheel clockwise to undo the hub.
